Uses Of Vinegar


1.       As a Preservative
       Vinegar can be used as preservative for keeping meat and poultry products for a long time. It is also used in pickles to keep them for longer duration as well as to provide a pinch of sour taste. The acetic acid in vinegar kills microbes and stalls food spoilage.

2.       As a Disinfectant
Vinegar can be used to disinfect water and also various appliances in kitchen where there are chances of bacterial growth and are not frequently washed with water. It can also be used for removing stains from clothes with certain proportion of water.

3.       As a Cleanser
      Vinegar is used to keep microwave clean from inside. When we warm certain food items with slurry in microwave, some droplets of slurry get deposited in the walls of microwave. These stains need to be removed from microwave else it will smell and is not hygienic. Microwave manufacturer’s recommend cleaning with vinegar and also provide guidelines on how to use it.It is also used for cleaning floors, windows, kitchen, refrigerators and bathroom

4.       As a Deodorizer
Vinegar is very useful for deodorizing house, towels and carpets.

5.       As a De-scaler
Vinegar can be used to remove scales formed by carbonates present is water. It is used to remove scales from tiles, coffee maker, kettle, washing machines, dishwashers and taps.

6.       As a face cleanser
Apple cider vinegar with water is very helpful to keep your face clean, soft and toned. It also acts as a very good aftershave lotion for men. It can be added in nail polish to last longer.

7.       As a hair conditioner

Vinegar is a great hair conditioner and can improve cleanliness and shine. It also keeps hair dandruff free.
